hi all this is my first day on here and my first post so first of hello to every one just wanted to ask I have a 53 plate freelander and every morning we have such a problem starting it seems to take roughly 6-10 turns of the key before it will turn over any ideas please thanks Nathan

start motor would be a good place to start looking at, batttey also,

need more info to be able to help

battery is fine as I put charger on it and it was over 3/4 full someone said to also check glo plugs

Put a jumper cable from the + battery and the starter where the big cable is conected. This will test the big feed cable is ok. If it still don't start put a link from batt + and the small wire on the starter to test the trigger wire. If that don't work put a jumper cable from battery - and the bolt that bolts the starter on to test the earth strap is ok.
Some places will do a free battery test with a proper tester to check if it can give out enough amps. If all that failes it's the starter motor.
