I am having some difficulties with starting my 92 Rangey Classic EFi Auto

From either cold or hot it just turns over trying to catch but won't start, however, if I give it full throttle it will fire. This happens whether hot or cold, though when cold it fires but runs very rough for a minute or two, from hot when it fires it settles more quickly. Once running behaves well and is not down on power. Problem is just when starting.

I've checked the electrical side of things plugs, wires, disi, coil, etc, though not ignition amplifier/module.

I have a feeling it is fuel related and possibly a sensor issue, so from reading various threads on here I tried replacing the coolant temperature sensor, but this did not work.

Wondering what to do now? Could it be the fuel temp sensor?

Cheers

Unlikely, but you can check it with a multimeter. It should give roughly the same resistance values as the coolant temp sensor when engine is cold.

If you have one, it's a very simple procedure. Just measure the resistance between the two metallic strips inside the connector. Unplug the connector and you should see them.
