Can anyone help please, I need to replace the starter motor on my
1991 Defender 90 200TDI, is there a sequence I need to stick to to make things easier, or is it just a case of throwing as many bits out of the way as possible to get access.
Thanks

drop the eggzorst downpipe out of the way, then, provided you've got a decent 3/8" socket set, with a selection of extension / wobble bars, it aint too bad.

Er, you going in from the top or the bottom?

I know, just couldn't see there was anything to remove to gain access............unless someone wuz trying to get at it frum the top!

Disconnect your battery first, or you will end up with sparks and explosions... wait, in that case leave it connected and film it for us (ware goggles).

New starter arrived now, good point, yes I'll get the old one sorted for a spare.
Thanks for the info.
