Hi all - please help! Any idea how to wire up the starter motor on a 2.5td? Boyfriend has rebuilt the engine, put it in but now can't remember where the wires go! He's used to volkswagens!

Right, basicly, there are 4 wires it looks to be, that all go into the main terminal, which include the main live etc... then there is a little white wire that should go onto a little terminal, thats the ignition wire.

Thats great thanks - my "little white wire" is more black from the oil but all sounds logical!
