Have had a fiddle with the yellow connectors under seat checked fuse in box all seem ok.

Any other tricks i could try.

Can i take bulb out.

Was goin get boss kit n do away with airbag all tog3ther but cant seem to find 1 for freelander

No good taking bulb out at the MOT requires the light to be on when first switching on and thenn going out after a predetermined amount of time.

funny enough I've often wondered this when airbags are removed and the bulbs pulled out

but think I read via the mot page that's it's ok to do that

am very suprised though that this is permitted

I think some of the mot laws are changing in the next few months

personally I wouldnt dream of removing an airbag that could possibly help the severity of an accident and injury as it also takes away the pretensioner

wouldnt fancy hitting an old fashioned styled steering wheel

i thinks there also failing cars that have removed the cat

but im not a mot examiner and can only go on things that I've read online

but of course that's my own personal view and what ever people wish to do on their own vehicle is there choice

I had a passenger seat side airbag in a Ford Galaxy go off a few years ago after driving into a pot hole in the dark. Scared the bejezus out of me.

The cost of replacing it was extortionate so I wired a 2 ohm resistor into the end of the airbag multiplug. This allowed the light to go out and retained the functionality of the front airbags.

Not sure I'd do it on a front airbag although I discovered its a common "get around" when replacing an airbag steering wheel with an aftermarket one.

I wouldnt personally either bypass a drivers airbag , never seen one go off ,

bet u changed ur trousers after that going off and go a retrieve ur heart out the nearest field ,

saw one of my mates in hospital who was in his mini hit the steering wheel with his face , not a pretty site , lomg time ago but think he was doing around 40 mph , but double it more likely, lol

I always worry for the people that virtually sit on top of there wheel , might as well rest there chin on top,i often think if that airbag goes off !!!!!

think a lot of cars have switches now for passenger seats , I think for when babies are placed in the passenger seat
