Today i inadvertantly moved my R/R with the airbag connecror not connected to the instrument cluster. now i am getting "SRS warning" and "airbag fault" in message centre.
The fault has obviously been resolved as i have pluged it back in but the warning is still there, how do i clear it? i disconnected the battery for 15 mins but it didnt work!

Anyone know if its posible to reset this without a trip to a testbook or rovacom equipped indy?

thanx in advance

ave to get the codes read now with diagnostic equipment. they can reset the light. tho cost around £40/50

I got a daignostic fault code reader, it didnt pick up anything though, no codes stored, il try again in a mo as i had engine running when i last tried!

or is it a testbook or rovacom jobby?

you need to have rovacom or fault logic or testbook. the cheap tack of ebay is no good for this type of fault.

Yeah i thought as much, the cheap tack as you put it was brought for other cars and is serving its purpose very well indeed, its handy it works on the R/R as well but not for this fault! dam!

Hi Red-Done the same thing myself. Yes, you do need a reset. Take it to an Independant, they will clear it in 10mins max. I have tried disconnecting the battery for a bit before I had the Rovacom and it didn't work.

Red, which program is it as I've never found one that works on my 1995 Rangey?

PS: is yours a petrol or diesel...

Guys,
I have done the same thing as redrange, i do feel like an idiot.
I have been doing alot of research on these warning lights, SRS and ABS and everyone has said that the only way to clear down the codes is via testbook or similar, But i then came across a Thread which explained how to clear down the ABS light with just a paper clip and hey it works, so this got me wondering , is there any simialr way to clear the codes for the SRS system.

By the way i have just this minute joined and am happy being part of the community
