Hi guys

MY04 Disco2 TD5...

When I am releasing the clutch pedal, particularly in reverse, I can hear a squealing sound. The sound changes slightly depending on the pedal position. No sound when clutch pedal is fully depressed or released - only when it's part way.

Is this going to be expensive...?

Thanks as always

Stu

worn spigot bush... unfortunately is gearbox off job.... live with it untill the clutch needs to be replaced

Of course it is it's a Land Rover!!!

Most likely clutch release bearing or flywheel bush. Gearbox out the pray you dont need a new flywheel at the same time.....................

I have this problem, especially when the engine/box are cold, it goes away when warm, clutch and flywheel are spot on, lovely and smooth. Virtually no backlash when on and off the throttle.

Any idea how long this will last before i drop another box on me head?

spigot bush noise is only apparent at half pedal ish not when pedal is fully depressed,it can last years with no bother
