Just received a new power steering pump for my TD5 as it appears the belt is slipping on the old one under load and squealing. Also the belt has only done around 600 miles and is already showing a lot of wear.
Whilst looking under the bonnet and getting my mate to rev for me I noticed some exhaust gases coming from the front of the exhaust manifold, upon closer inspection I could see the first stud is missing!
On top of all that I have been looking for a water leak for the last week and I finally found it yesterday. a slow drip coming from the fuel cooler. After a bit of research on here I found out you can repair it with new O rings. Has anyone done this job themselves? If so I would be grateful of any advise.

It seems that I am fixing the car more than driving it!

That's great, thanks for that. I will try to do it in situation also.
Sounds like it will be an easier fix than the broken exhaust manifold stud!:(

I had a simular coolant leak from fuel cooler, O rings had a flat in them replaced for a pound each no problem since.
