Hi Guys,
everytime I pull away in first and then into second I get a squeal from the engine !? This goes soon after.....
I have had a new fan belt fitted and the user manual says that you can't tension the belt on a TD5........
Any advise please ??????

The TD5 has an automatic belt tensioner fitted. It may be seized on its pin and allowing the belt to slip.

I had the same, tried talc, changing the belt - 20,000 kms later just learned to live with it

Is it definately a belt squeal? a common squealing noise is caused by a warped exhaust manifold. it soon goes when it warms up.
