Hi All
I have a slight squeaking noise which seems to come from steering only when the car is stationary or very low speed and I am changing direction.
For example when I reversing to my garage and have to stop, go forward slightly then again back while I turn the steering then it is squeaking.
The oil level is right and changed to new about a year ago.
Can it be steering knuckle ball joints or something else?
Thanks

Can you get someone to rock the steering wheel while you get underneath and look/feel all the linkage ball joints? Also listen for the upper and lower ball joints on the hub carrier.

Yes, this is what I planned as well. The steering rod assemblies are new and good quality so the hub carrier ball joints are suspect.

Checked today for play. I could not see any obvious play at the ball joints. I have removed the plastic cover behind the left wheel and saw some oil leak on the bottom of the steering pump. Can it be the pump which makes noise?
