Yes,I know, but I fitted a new alt belt when changing the timing belt.It used to squeak when cold then stop,so,new genuine belt, now squeaks all the time! s`not pulleys ,checked `em.do land rover have a part number for squeaks like they do for oil leaks? I`m writing this so`s I can use s,q,u on me keyboard,:)

s q and u very well done , don't use them much myself , as for your noise check the aux belt tensioner ! comon fault .

my a/c belt squeaked like mad driving me nuts.Tried chalk belt dressing etc which usually works but didnt so sprayed belts liberally with aerosol silicone spray, what a difference no noise!

No noise - no drive.

Ffs when will peeps realise drive belts need friction! Coating them in grease, silicone, ky jelly, wd40 just reduces the friction. When they slip, they are quiet and feckin useless.

yeah, but it should improve the mpg, n I bet it never runs cold with the water pump slipping-perhaps this fix is reccomended by the head gasket manufacturers :p
