I have recently put my 2A 109 onto a 1986 rangy chassis (to cure my palpitatations from bad drum brake near misses) The rangy was a V8 and my 2A is running a N/A 2.5 D . I have a problem on the front spring travel due to the excess wieght of the 2.5 lump compared to the V8 unit.
Though I have fitted green white coded RR springs , the resting compression measure is within safe tollerance (for rangy) .I am finding that potholes and sharp edges are causing the axle to bottom out on the bump stops.
Can any body please suggest a sensible stock or aftermarket part.

I doubt that there is enough difference in weight between the V8 and the 2.5NA to make that much difference too the suspension. Try better shocks and stiffer springs.

Cheers Though I forgot to mention I also have a fairy capstan on the front as well ,which also adds extra weight and fulcrum due to steering box throwing the winch mount forward by extra inches.

cant add much weight if the capstan is fur fairies.... now if it was a Fairy capstan - thems ois heavy;)
