Hi,

Can someone tell me what size Coil Spring Compressor I need for the air to spring conversion on my 2001 Disco 2?

Don't think you will need one. Axke stands under the chassis, Jack's under the axle, undo shocks, lower axle, swap springs. That is how I do it on the Defender, I presume D2 is similar.

Thanks, I have seen that method. But to be honest, for around £15 squid, I'd rather have a couple of compressors on hand. Having looked at them, the 'Heavy Duty' ones seem like they might do the job.
 
Done, I'll probably drop the shock next time!!! 😰

My bad, I wasn't taking enough notice to be honest. I forgot you had a Disco as you're usually talking about your Defender.
What holds the spring on then?

I admit, my heart sank then!!! Its held on with Blue Tac!

But seriously, thats it, the whole kit. I checked out a LOAD of videos and nothing different.
 
Just watched a video and it certainly seems like the spring just sits in place. I'm used to the Defender method with the flat plate, sorry if I had you worried for a moment.

Nah, its all good mate - it was a job and a half though.I would definitely recommend anyone reading this to drop the shocks - those spring compressors, despite doing the job felt very precarious and had they have failed it would have been dangerous!

Does that work for the front springs on a defender too?
