How do you know weather your parabolic spring bushes need to be replaced or not? (series 3 88) When I bought my land rover there was a set inside the box under the passenger seat, so im wondering if previous owner was going to do it?

Only if they are knackered. You will probably find that the spares are the wrong diameter as parabolics generally have a bush with a larger outside diameter.
