Electrical maladies of this nature, I.E., low voltage DC, are always an earth issue. :)

Either there is no earth, there is an extra earth shorting the live to earth, or there is insufficient earth.. no other options are available! Even a blown bulb falls under earth fault - there being no complete circuit… :oops:o_O

I would highly recommend watching some vids on the tube from South Main Auto Repair… Eric O is an excellent teacher and technical wizard, and it will be time well spent IMO.:)

plus, of course, ask on here… mists of us have been there, done it, and got the ****** t-shirt :D

I might just give it a go. No harm. It does seem akin to witchcraft though. My mind is geared for bolts and screwdrivers. I'll check the bulbs first. I learned to always check the easy quick stuff first...
