Im needing urgent help from anyone that has a spairs dog
Last night i was droping the wife at a hen party and on the way back i noticed the temp creeping up so i pulled in to find water pouring out the back of the engine
Turns out its just a split pipe
Now this is the problem im needing the truck on tuesday to go to hull and theres no chance of any parcel company being able to get one to me before then
So has anyone got one spaire that can drop in leeds?
Its a 98 dse and although i dont know the name of the pipe its the one that goes around the back of the engine going in just under no6 injector
Theres plenty of tea and bicciys if you can bring it to me and oviously a few ££

If it's just a water/heating pipe, go to almost any motorspares place and buy a length of same diameter pipe and some jubilee clips. Not ideal, but might work ..

There is no hose that goes near number four injector. Do you mean the half round one that comes from the back of the head and fits on the head near number six injector. If it's that one you will have to go to a dealer you ain't going to get one of those quickly.

PCH000030 but daft money from dealers unless you get a pattern one. Two different sized clips on it, make sure big one goes to pipe behind head, small one to head connection.

i havent looked at it yet but are you saying a straight through pipe from halfords wont fit cos the pipe changes size?

Yep Britpart, just fitted one of those to mine. £2.50 with VAT. £5.00 postage though. But a whole lot better than £25.00 from Rimmers even without the clips.
thats what i was wondering
famous 4x4 £22 - island £2
was just checking its not a tempary part or poor quality part ect....

would the one from a omega fit?
dixon vauxhall is about 5 miles from me and already phoned them
sounds like the same part £5 and i can collect untill 3 today

Ended up a guy on ebay was a few miles from me beaking 3 of them
Got a right deal from him
The water pipe
Rear window motor
Cubby box lid
Both front clear indicators + side repeaters
All for £35

Plus he had one with the rubber wheel arch extentions and said i can have them for £50 what do you think? Should i ?

Well that was a waste of time and money
said hose split again today!! Wouldent mind but only put £15 worth of coolant in it last week
Any how is there a common week spot on these pipes? Or am i just unlucky? Cos it spit in the exact same place as the last one(under the clip were it joints the engine)
Was wondering if theres a burr somewere causing it to split

If we are talking about the horseshoe shaped one then it seems to be the weakest one in the system. It was the same one that split on me on the motorway back on New Years Eve. I did a temporary repair with a long length of standard heater hose. Long to prevent it kinking as I bent it. That survived for for the next couple of thousand miles.

I'd check that nothing can rub against it and bizarre though it sounds check engine mounts. We had a van that split the same hose a few times - one engine mount had failed and the one hose was getting pulled by twist of the engine when pulling away. The mount had sheared off below but looked perfect at quick glance as surface rust was holding it on the engine... Get someone to blip the throttle whilst you look at engine/hose movement perhaps?
