I want to fit a second battery in the boot for a work light etc. I read on an old thread that someone ran a power feed from the becm, but here's scare me and i don't want to fry it or something horrific like that! Is it safe or not?
Thanks
Ben

Not up on these things but I can't see a need to run anything to/from the BeCM....

Yeah i Have the kit, its just when i searched the best way to get through the huge firewall, someone said i don't have to and i can use the supply to the becm but you guys have confirmed my fears... ol leave it well alone and try and route through the bulk head.
Thanks

Route it along the chassis rail in plastic tube, dead easy and there is a rubber bung in the rear quarter to come up into the car. Use at least 4mm cable fused at the main battery.

You're sort of half right. There was a post on here, a fair while back, replying to somebody who needed a low current supply in the cabin for something. He was suggesting that he brought a cable through the bulkhead but somebody pointed out that there was a supply to the BECM and he could spur off that. Definitely not the location for adding a second battery feed/charge.
