Had a search but nothing really answered this one.
I have a '93 LSE which has an electronic speedo. It's stopped working and for obvious reasons I'd like to repair it. There are no warning lights on, and the needle wasn't jumping around, it just stopped working. Rev counter, fuel and temp gauges all still work fine.
When I removed the cover from the speedo housing, all looked ok, apart from a black cable, with a white inner, and a bare wire end which had been zip-tied to the top of the speedo. Is this significant?
Also, the cruise contol doesn't function, but never has done as long as I have owned the car. I've checked for vacuum pipe leaks and there don't appear to be any.
Thanks,
Brian.
