Suddenly a few weeks ago my speedo stopped working along with my fuel gauge. The odometer still shows a reading but doesn't change. Mechanic thinks it could be oil in the ECU but I'm not so sure, surely that would be intermittent?
Ideas/experience would be appreciated.

Did anyone have any clues on this. The same thing happened to me today whilst stuck for an hour in traffic on North circular. Teach me to go into the smoke but had to deliver something.

Check your fuses.

one of the fuses, same happened to me a couple of months back, check the ones above the gearbox housing

guessing cos its in the defender section and has an ecu were talking td5
