Thing to remember here is that it might be like in France, where the points can still end up on your licence. So could end up on your wifes friends licence.

Its a fixed penalty, no points...and i aint married, thats my ex who came to visit cos im smashing!

I dont give money to the government without a fight, it eats into my booze and bird budget.

it aint about the money...its the fact that they aren't doing their job correctly...i admit i drove 4mph too fast, fair enough...but if they cant even issue the ticket without getting it wrong then thats a bit of a sad reflection on the police...bit slapdash, shoddy and actually illegal!!!

Be careful what ever you say to them. as I am sure that Denmark will have law same as here of "attempting to pervert the course of justice" which has a higher penalty than the speeding fine by far .
Why cant you just accept the fact that you broke the law and got caught , as you grew up I am sure your parents taught you to take resposibility for your own actions .

Just write back saying that the vehicle is right hand drive, so as the photo doesn't show the driver you can't be sure who was driving it as various members of the family, mates, friends, kids, best mates pet budgie, all have access to the vehicle at any time and you don't keep records. If they can supply a photo of the driver you might be better able to help, otherwise .... ;)

What Paul says, your not being obstructive and they may not bother persuing it. Good look.

And nice pic. :D

Write them a letter saying how they have cause distress to your wife as they have sent a photograph of your mistress to your house by error as your car is right hand drive so she was not driving. Under their privacy laws which they have blatently ignored you would like compensation please

Spot on Sirus!

More seriously perhaps. The approach to this one is a right hand drive vehicle that is registered in your name but used as a pool car and you have no idea who was driving it. Request the photo of the driver of the car so that you can help them recover the funds from the correct perpetrator. 95% probability they will never answer the letter and just cancel the fine. Worst case you have to pay up. Much worse case is that your wife finds out about the mistress.

I was just giving her one, I mean lift, honest.

Next time wear a ski-mask, or a burka.

No law against that.

CharlesY

They don't have ski masks in Denmark as the place is as flat as a fart. But the Burka, now there's a plan. Hard to drink Danish beer or kiss Danish birds in a Burka though 'init, and why else would you be in Denmark?
