does anyone have any suggestions as to good insurance companies to get quotes from.

Im 26 and looking to insure a 1994 110 station wagon on a limited mile policy.

Lancaster all the time ... make sure you speak to them on the phone as you will get cheaper quotes than comparison sites. Always used them for my Defender 200tdi. :)

I Don't know if they are any good for landys or not but brentacre are stupidly good with modified vehicles Iam assuming your landy is modified, my track car for instance, they just set me a bhp limit and as long as I don't go over it don't effect the premium. They don't even charge an admin fee for more mods

well after spending 2 and a half hours on the phone the other day i manged to get my initial quotes of £400 ish down to £126 fully comp with unlimited miles.

Insurance in now through footman james.

do you get to keep your no claims discount with that policy? I used footman James when I had an MG B but didn't realise that they wouldn't keep my no claims going

Its a second car, well techncally a third car at the moment, so my no claims are in use on my main vehicle at at £126 a year im not bothered if i dont get any new ones on this policy.

Lancaster, I rang them up they said they had to get back to me because of the disco engine so I thought here we go, but he rang back in 30 mins all was fine. Very helpful they were.

Good stuff ... always been great with my 90 and all the extras fitted :)

if u dont use your no claims bonus for 2 years u lose it, i have 2 cars on classic insurance but always buy another vehicle no matter what it is to keep my no claims bonus, hence the gaylander and membership to the head under the bonnet club.

birdman, i know, i have no claims in use on my focus but as this is on specialist insurance and my previous landy is then i have never built up no claims for use on these vehicles.

+1 for Lancaster

I just got mine for £230 fully comp. Inc breakdown/recovery & keycover.
Lots of mods on my 90. Also agreed valuation.

A few restrictions;
5000 miles
£750 excess on accidental damage

Fez, my landy is currently insured with a roof rack and spot lights that is all in terms of mods.

As i said being a club member seemed to really help apparently.
