I think SV FL's start on the track and get finished oft by the special vehicles team as they int standard, or not many built with that design. It's just a way of finishing a none standard build even though they sold many hundreds of commercial FL's.

that freelander looks awesome. but they've both got windows so how they proper commercials.

The freelander isn't I've made that into a comercial hence the windows! The d2 is a genuine one, the late ones had black glass panels instead of body coloured ones, you can't see through em:D its got the chassis plate and the badge, plus its on the v5 as a commercial.

That's how they did the discos too! Hand finished in the special vehicles dept

they say that special vehicles are sometimes worth more but found buying a commercial was a lot cheaper than buying one all ready done

like them in black as well

wonder what land rover charge for new badges and heard that u cant buy them without your v5 log book

Gary

they're only badges, don't understand why peeps get a hard-on for them. I had proper plastic badges on mine, took them off at first coz was told they could get nicked, but put them back on and sold it cheap with em still on.

aint all commercials?

All commercials have that sticker to my knowledge
Mine has

I've recently been told that if you ring Land Rover and quote the number on the plaque they will tell you about the cars/vans history/details

Not sure what that would be but apparently that is what they do

to my knowledge facelift hippos didn't come out them badges, been looking everywhere for them. there are two types of badges, the one with the green oval and special vehicles underneath and another one (which imho is nicer) rectangular and engraved lettering

Mine hasn't got one on the wing but under the bonnet to the left there is a plaque with Special Vehicle and a number

Mines a 2005 ex national grid commercial

If you want a special vehicle badge save a search on e bay. They pop up regular.

In my opinion you'd be betterer to save yer money for when it's broke'd.

And improving how it looks and drives

Having some stainless steel sidestep holders made by the BIL
VCU after that and then brakes all round, pads, shoe ,discs and drums

hmmm you could call your local stealers and give em your chassis number tell them they were nicked, then sell em to me:)
