Right just fitted a nice set of Pioneer TS1711Is as front door speakers and although they fitted nicely with no probs and do give a really nice sound with decent bass punch i am getting some vibration noise. whats the easiest and unfortunatley cheapest way of insulating the doors to reduce the vibration. i no hippo did a nice install on his but i havnt fitted any deadening material so any ideas on some resonable stuff thats not too expensive and will it cure the vibrations? cheers

Closed Cell Foam is the best stuff to get.

An old camping mat roll type thing is ideal.

Has to be closed cell foam as ordinary foam will absorb water and screw up everything.

I got a mat and cut it in half. I then folded it in half again and cut 2 holes the size of the speakers in it. That way it was wedged in the space and all vibrations were damped out.

thanks sing i will try that as the mats a def cheap enough.

Yep mine did make the doors rattle also
I just turned up the volume until I couldn't hear the vibrations any more ! Lol
Although it was kinda annoying at times

I think it's the plastic film inside the door that makes the most noise

Spray the inside of the door panel with rubber seal. Help stop vibration and rust

im gonna have to get a set for the back now. i didnt realise how naff the l.r ones were till i fitted the pioneers. the balence is way out now. all the sound seems to be coming from the front now as the back just cant compete with the pioneers. ive had to fade 70% back and 30% front to equalise the sound so will be looking for another set for the back now.
