Alright guys have a discovery 1 93 200tdi.

The headunit is at the bottom of the dash not the middle.

Having a problem installed after market headunit as the standard units screen went blurry. Having problems trying to push the headunit into place because of the lack of space behind it to push all the wires in. Any suggestions?

Also bought some aftermarket front speakers 10cm pioneer as the standard ones are going, they do not fit think its due to the depth of the cone. Has anyone resolved this by maybe cutting the see thru plastic on the inner door card. I could fit these to the back of the car but the grills are not a perfect fit. Can the grills be taken off the standard speakers without snapping them, then i can fit the standard grills to the aftermarket speakers.

Any help thanks in advance...

remove center console before fitting radio then you can keep all the wiring etc out of the way as you refit the console.

the head unit into dash/ consol issue has baffled and tormented the best of us ! try to get the wires to either side as you lower the unit , so they will be on each side of gearbox tunnel when done . you can fit the head unit first then the consol , but that leaves out a couple of the fixings . enjoy and drink tea .

The front door speekers are a pain, but ive been told of some sort of deeper consoles they can sit in, try a reputable retailer NOT HALFORDS,they may help, good luck m8, Dave 300 tdi es.
