sorry for the delay in replying. Here is some info from the wiring diagram:
Both heated jets are controlled by Relay "f" in the battery fusebox and protected by fuse F12

Haven't done anything further on that Gary as I have two options open to me which I have to consider.
a)
Do I get it relayed to a specialist and then have to accept an "Open cheque" scenario with the possibility of a bill which could run in to four figures-which I can ill afford. In view of the constant setbacks, my confidence in the problem being 100% fixed has been deeply dented.

b)
Take the hit and just get rid of the car as it stands at present. Pity really as the car is immaculate and top of the range. Other than this problem, the mechanics and electrics all function as they should.

I had a P38, 4.6 HSE for years and replaced the engine and BECM but apart from that, it served me well.
The Freelander, TD4 ES had the usual minor problems but could be relied upon never to let me down.

Have to think long & hard this weekend what to do about the Disco.

Thks mate for taking the time with the info, most appreciated

Know where ur coming from, I felt really frustrated when I was messing around with that wishbone and thought bloody thing ,

Try putting a thread on the D3 , sorry sounding like a record but think most faults have been covered and what the solotuions are , plenty will help and of course don’t want that to come across as disrespectful to ur capabilities in any way

Someone local may offer to come out and give u a hand, plenty of them do help each other and take some of the pressure off u

Hope that helps a little

If it’s any use I’ve had good service from Diesel Bobs, fixed leaking injectors on a Jeep Cherokee, that 2 other garages messed up, but there a bit away from you, in Clitheroe

Sierraferry...hope this helps bud.
Took the pics with my digital camera, thought they would be sharper than a phone.

I have AA Relay cover with my Bank account so if I get it off the drive I can call them to my "Breakdown" and they will transport it to either my destination or a repairer of my choice anywhere in the UK FOC
;)

UPDATE

Decided to spend another day on the Disco and backtrack on the disconnections in the battery box area that I did in order to change the FIP belt.
Disconnected all the connectors to the ECU's etc. and released the harness trunking......the bloody connector was hiding behind the trunking :D.
So, that was sorted.:)
I will post a pic later.
Thanks Guys for all your comments and input to this post
Now have a read of the update to my fuel leak from the injectors post

Happy days and great that’s been sorted out :):D

IMO it was a work in vain as the other end of that circuit might be in air anyway cos i'm sure it's for manual transmission... that's why it didnt cause any trouble and it might have been disconncted from factory
