Hi Guys,

Want to fit spare wheel to bonnet, mounting plate etc... All in place but the s shaped holders or dog legs that bolts go through seem to be too long. There are 4 black rubber spacers to protect bonnet from wheel. Can I ad more spacers to make dog legs work or am I just doing it wrong? P.s it's a series 3 old style mounting. Ta!!!

From memory they only go one way up, I certainly don't remember any spacers.

What I also remember is that having a wheel on the bonnet is a pain, takes quite a bit of visibility right where you want to be seeing off road, right in front of the vehicle. And makes checking the oils and so on a heavy job.
Each to their own, tho! :)

Believe there was two variations of the dog legs manufactured for larger than original wheels , so four options on leg sizes.

+1 I have both sizes think there may be two different bolt sizes too, I seem to have two different lengths, presume the longer bolt goes with the longer leg

Thanks guys, whilst the wheels on it now are original they might not have always been so might get measurements sorted and get the angle grinder out! Might regret putting it on the bonnet but being a newbie to owning a series a have to try it once! :)
