Ones motorised armchair is powered by compression ignition and averaged a surprising 34mpg in a three hour trip home yesterday and I wonder if its been chipped as it flys compared to my old td5....

Does this mean ones rehabilitation program was successful resulting in the permanent switchover to compressed fuel and therfore requiring less cylinders in the engine bay?
It does sound like its been chipped.
As of tomorrow I can install the chip I have sitting looking at me into my 110

One will only return to additional cylinders of the spark ignition variety if one has the additional funding required which is a prerequisite of owning a vehicle of said type, in other words one must procure the exact six numbers to attain this
