hi all, i am looking for spacesaver 18" rim complete with tyre ..any suggestions or pointers and prices would be most appreciated,, please p.m. me if you got one for sale ...kind regards mozz:):):)

Dont P38s have full size spares to save the V coupling? you would be better buying a wheel and tyre on the online auction site to suit your existing wheels. Probably cheaper to.

i have a lpg tank in the wheel well so hence a spacesaver needed !!!!!!! i forgot to mention that sorry ,,,

Running wheels with different diameters on the same axle will cause problems with the TC. Probably knacker the diff as well.

I would check the online auction site anyway and get wheel from there. You will have to either keep in the boot or on a roof rack. Foam, will be ok as long as you dont have a tear or blow out....why the sudden urgency?

Make sure the Space Saver you get is suitable for the axle loading of the Rangie - shes a heavy beastie - and those p!ss pot spacesaver may not be up for it (hence why no one makes one for the P38!!)

I don't think you will find a space saver for the P38 Mozz, it's too heavy and as others have said if the rolling radius is not the same as the other wheels it will end up knackering something.
996turbo was doing a spare wheel carrier to go on the back I believe otherwise carry a can of puncture repair foam and a small 12 volt compressor.

hi all thanks for your imput . i think i will just buy a spare wheel then and leave it in the boot . on thurs night on way to my caravan in lincolnshire i had a blowout on one of my rear tyres and whilsst waiting for recovery found a screw sticking out of the other tyre ??????? so checked front axle wheels both ok . well due to the inability of green flag to understand that i had a puncture and wanted someone like ats to come out and fix it ,easy eh ?????????? no they sent a recovery truck to take me to my destination , !!! 114 miles away .????? no i said i am only 4.5 miles from home so send out ats ...no they said we will drop you at your caravan and then come back in the morning and take you to either national tyres or kwik-fit ????????? no you fffffffffffffg wont i said .its now 9.00pm im the evening having waited 2 hrs to be recovered , in the end got a mobile chappie out who after ringing him and explaining my prdicament ,he had a good spare in stock fitted that and balanced it then repaired the other tyre and relieved me of £80.00 and sent me on my happy way ,,nice chappie .but ended up driving to caravan and arrived at 2am in the mornin , so all in all took 7 hours to sort ,, and mrs mozz was not too happy .so urgently need new wheel so will order one today and forget the spacesaver idea ... anyway thank you all for your imput ,,cheers mozz:baby::baby::baby:

This is why the Series owners laugh at us. Can't have a bonnet mount without a periscope. Can't do a Pink Panther because of the air flow needs. Tailgate would involve a mega-hinged contraption and a decent roof-rack costs nearly as much as the car!

G~

Can't you, have an under body mounted LPG tank!
Thus freeing up the spare wheel compartment?
Or are the doughnut ones better?

Only asking because when I had LPG fitted on a grand Cherokee , it was mounted under the car.
Had to get the exhaust altered though as it was a tight fit!
