hello I have just got to South Wales (holiday) went shopping returned to where I'm staying and as I was parking the freelander it dropped what remaining fuel I had 1/4 of the tank on the floor in the road. When you turn the key the pump is working so I'm thinking there is a brake in the fuel line.

looking for help asap I didn't know the area etc..

South Wales, Cwm (next to ebbw vale)

Yeah we are safe, thanks for asking :) just stressed

Lucky found someone to take me in for the night

Diesel is coming from the rear drivers side between the fuel tank and rear wheel

Freelander TD4 2004

I've had help to clean the diesel away off the road

@pontyslapper is close and might know for a reliable local garage, failing that for help with a self repair a clearer picture of the problem is needed.

Car is parked up on a quite residential road away from the main road.

I have a day or two to try and sort the problem out overwise I will have to get it towed back to London.

Foundry 4x4 are localish, probably not open until Monday mind. Not familiar with Ebbw Vale at all.
All I can suggest is get a bar of cheap soap, yep, soap and rub a chunk over the leak point. Then build up a 'bank' of soap over it. Then wrap some cling film or tape over it to give some rain protection.

Dodgyrob contacted but is away until Tuesday.

The more you can find out about what is needed to repair the better the chance of getting someone to you with what's needed.

Ok I will do my best to find and maybe take a picture but I think it's more than a split pipe as it dumped 1/4 fuel within 10sec :(

Ok from just looking again I'm sure it's coming from the rear wheel arch which has the pump and filter I think the pipe has come off problem is I don't have any tools to get the wheel/arch off all that came with the car is the wheel locking and the bar no jack :(

Yea I would say a jack 2 tones plus and hand tools and a little help as I've never touched the fuel pump filter carry system

All my decent jacks are under the FiLs lightweight. Is a freelander jackable on a 'ford' jack or a bottle jack?
Never fiddled with FLs so would be no help on that side.
