Finally today got around to fitting the valve block o ring repair kit to my '96 RR

Two of the non return valves (NRVs) are quite badly damaged, does anyone know where I could get a set (of 3) I don't mind if they are secondhand as long as they are in good condition.

re-built the block anyway, but still having a few issues, stopped the RR and got out to open the garage door, when I got back in it had gone to wading height on it's own.

My plan is to replace the NRVs before doing any more faultfinding.

Anyone able to help?

Thanks

Mine were the same,badly worn!
As far as I know you cant buy them seperate?
As for jumping to wading height, have you checked the white plug behind passenger footwell kick panel? Its a well documented area for corrosion causing it to do just that..
theres a guy on here kurtjohnson10 I think it is of hand? He sells brand new LR eas pumps and valve blocks for around £100 each..I had a pump off him and well pleased with it..

It will not help your cause if you have fitted the soft red O'rings on the NRVs.

Hi Mark, thanks, i'll take a look in the meantime. The o-rings I fitted are the black ones (kit from Landyair) i'll leave the NRVs for now.

I did notice while I was waiting for the pressure to build in the tank the rear was rising even though the drivers door was open. Does this point to a leaky solenoid?

I'll get back to it next weekend, reading the howto again before I start.

Cheers

Leaking NRV3.

Thanks Wammers, I've ordered another valve block and driver assy. (always handy to have the spares!)

While waiting for it to arrive (shame, all I need is the NRV's) I decided to check the white plugs at the passenger kick panel by the A pillar. Thankfully they are clean and dry.
Hoping the valve block will get here by this weekend but I'm not holding my breath!

More as it happens :)

Valve block arrived, salvaged the NRVs from it, swapped my new o-rings onto them and fitted in my valve block. All ok, or so I thought - drove down road no problems. Got into the RR the following day but immediately the "SLOW 35MPH" message appeared.

Turns out when the laptop is plugged in the message doesnt appear, and everything suspension related seems to behave. (apart from the odd time the selector switch doesnt respond)

With laptop unplugged the "slow 35mph" message comes up on the message centre. If the laptop is disconnected when in the motorway position, the suspension doesnt rise back to normal when the vehicle slows down (after 6 miles of driving at approx 30mph)

From what i've read on here the next step is to check exhaust filter, height sensor connectors, the sensors themselves and connectors in the eas box under the bonnet.

I've got a spare driver pack but am not sure of its condition - came from eBay with the valve block. May try swapping it out also.

Anything else i've missed?

Cheers

Look at Wammers guide in the "How To" section and check the compressor is making good pressure.
