Yes and No.

I use products from CAD Distribution https://www.deadening.co.uk/collections/dodo-mat which work well.
On the inside of the cab I use the DEADN mat. I cover the seatbox and lids, the sidepanels (between the door and the tub) the floor panels and the bulkhead up to the dash.
On top of that I use the Dodo Super Liner 6mm with the rubber mats/carpet etc on top of that.
Under the seatbox and all round the battery box I use Dodo Thermo Liner 7mm. This can also be used in the engine copartment on the bulkhead and under the bonnet.

Other areas to fit a combination of Deadn mat and Thermo Liner is in the doors, on the cab roof and the tub floor and sides.
 
Same as TheQ states above, I never told the wife I had done it first trip out she asked, have you done something to make it quieter? so it does work!
I only did the underside/insides of seat box/lids.

I can imagine the seat box/battery box acts like an amplifier ? I'm all bare metal at the minute apart from floor mats and tunnel, got me thinking now.

I just bought two rolls of this and the seat box will be getting done with it. Obviously don’t know the result yet but it seems to be good stuff. When I added it to the basket it gave me a £15 discount on the list price so I bought another roll.

Any bare metal surfaces will benefit from soundproofing.
ln my experience, if a panel or bulkhead etc already has some soundproofing, adding extra soundproofing makes little if any difference.
l've tested this with a db meter on my 110.

I used closed cell foam when I did my rebuild years ago. Same stuff as camping mat probably. Then I put the original carpet back over it.

Bulkhead soundproofing is what's made the most difference on mine, made a difference of 10db at motorway speeds. Went from 90db to 80db

If I recall from my NEEBOSH course at work, 85db is the point where ear protection is required in the workplace….or risk permanent hearing damage :eek:

And in addition , if you add in bone crunching suspension and white knuckle ( white finger being the precise term ) when driving in excess of 70mph , we would also need to introduce frequent rotation of drivers and vibration suppressing gloves when taking the wheel ( section 21 of the driving the landy at speed act )
