Hi folks,

Have had to chuck the sound proofing from the front floor of the Disco as it was pretty fecked beyond use thanks to a fist sized hole in the floor in front of the sill that was miraculously missed by the MOT tester back in february before I aquired the vehicle.

I have now repaired the floor and I am looking for any suggestions as what would be the best material/product to use as soundproofing?

got some gym matting from argos, 2 quid for about a meter square. all interlocking, and easy to cut, chucked that in my boot and to me sounds quiter, no carpet and easy to just wash

whatever it is make sure its closed cell foam so it doesnt hold water.

ideally dont use soundproofing, but if you must then as above.

or get some spray on soundproofer/stone chip paint, does the job and no chance of water living underneath it.

cheers

I love the sound mine makes. I removed the carpet and anti-slip painted it all. Makes it easier to spot the rot when it comes round to MOT time!
