easy jon, he was only asking if you thought the cider bottle was better than the silcone dizzy cover he already has - no attitude at all mate. joe's a sound geeza.

my answer is yes to your question joe btw, i use a coke bottle which i explained earlier.

cheers

Oops! sorry, havin a bad day
I feel better now and have 2 spare empty bottles of cider if anyone needs them :beer2::beer2::beer2:

Sorry Jon...can see how it might have been taken the wrong way having read it back.
I've wanted to coin that phrase used on jezzer clarksons Top Gear Range Rover...but guess it didnt translate this time:doh::doh::doh::doh::5bbiggrinjester:

Wasn't taking the p'ss, just ****s n giggles, and I was geniunely asking as I've seen several folk do that now (inc Mr Noisy) and similar with bottles....also was thinking the silicone covers, whilst might look the part, was a little pricey for what it actually is (one 9 fingered and one 3 fingered glove with some cables ties ... mine cost £40 !!)

Have also seen a metal plate mounted in front of dizzy too in a defender (i guess more for just splashes?)

I need some more pay n play time to try these things out (I have waders now!!)

No probs mate maybe I did overreact a bit, the little bast........ I mean kids had been doing my head in all day so was a bit of a grump.
What i did to test mine was get the hose pipe on it in my drive, at least then if it cuts out your not stuck up to your door handles in a boggy hole :scratching_chin::D

Ah yeah!...simple. should have thought of that myself!
I was also looking at the plug ends to leads connection insulation (the insulation bit that goes over the plug ends when connected)...wondering if its worth cable tying these insulation 'caps' on the ends of the plugs.
I've already put some heat shrink over where these end covers/insulation meets the lead for the same reason....
now wondering if I'm going over the top!?

I think noisy cable ties his on , which is why it took him three months to check his plugs , I dont know any excuse :p :hysterically_laughi

(laughs out loud)

Yeah that's right fett! Kin ell that made me chuckle :D

Anyway yeah Joe I cable tie the boots to the plugs, I felt that my leads were well sealed into the boots themselves. I do spray grease round every joint/gap in the leads though.

Also mate I jetwash my engine a lot, heavily after pnp and it runs no problem. Yet show it a nice piece of lake and it might develop a little cough and sneeze.

I don't find that the hosepipe is the definitive test, BUT I suppose if it misses with the hose you know you've still got big problems! :D

Still laughing now fett, you witty bugger :D

Cheers, lol...
