I noticed a pool of something underneath the car today, which I am assuming is cooling fluid, as I topped it up 2 weeks ago, and its dropped about 1cm since then, but I’d just like to make sure. I’ve taken a few pics, any ideas what part may be leaking?
Also there is a hose on the left hand side of the engine bay below the cooling tank, that seemed to be sucked in at the sides, what is it, and is it normal?

If it is coolant, which it certainly looks like, then it's the wrong antifreeze. It should be OAT which is a straw/pink colour not green which is glycol based. Sorry can't help with the leak location but dropping the undertray off should help you locate it. It also helps if you put the type of Freelander you have in your signature as it saves looking on your statistics. The sucked in hose looks like an aircon or power steering pipe, check if it goes to the aircon pump or the power steering pump.

What engine? The drip is coolant, is it loosing any. The engine won't mind green/ blue antifreeze but the EU will ;)
Often the PS pipe being sacked in is caused by a de-lamination of the pipe.

TD4 on the OP's stats. Far as I was aware glycol based antifreeze shouldn't be used in the TD4.

the "sucked in" pipe is supposed to be like that.
The fluid in the cooling resivoir is definatley pink in colour, it may have just been the camera and the fact that it was late in the afternoon.
Just wondering where it may be coming from? as it seems to be a very slow drip below the radiator.

To me it looks the same colour as the oil used in the aircon gas but best take undertray off to get a look at it better

Does it feel like oil or water, you could also try a little on your tongue to see wether its antifreeze or oil.

I know that the air-con isn’t working, I was told that it would need to be re-gassed. As for the trying a bit on my tongue, I'll give that a miss.

It's dripping from the front of the car under the radiator, how can it be diesel? There's nothing that could leak diesel there is there?

Couldn’t see any drips above the radiator, looks like its below. There would have been signs if it was dripping from above.

If it is fuel it would explain why I'm getting 5mpg :D
