Hi just after some help, noticed yesterday I have a small square box(about 4"x4") under my rear offside wheelarch, attached to my chassis with what looks like small pipes going in and out of it, which looks like something has leaked around it, oil, fluid ?? Can someone tell me what it is and how important is it, if it is leaking, ta

its not std so remove it

you dont mean this do you?

If yes the best not to remove it its a fuel filter!

Yeh that looks like it, it's isn't dirty but covered in a liquid substance, which probably sounds like diesel, do you think the filter needs changing?

I believe that is a fuel sedimentor.

it is optional according to the 1997 manual.
