Sometimes you wonder what the hell was going through peoples heads. I spent the afternoon sorting out the wiring on my discovery. A previous owner or maybe successive previous owners had made a right tit of the whole thing. Wee 4" bits of wire connecting two wires instead of just joining the two together etc.

Who in their right mind would do that? ****s.

So I've almost tidied up the wee LED's they (whoever they are) put on, I was close to just taking them off altogether mind you. Tomorrow I'll try and sort out the mess of the spotlights and put a relay on them since they're like a mess of spaghetti too just now.

It reminds me something of that episode of Top Gear where the SD1's doors fall off and Jeremy Clarkson says "you just know someone has had a go at mending that themselves". Not that there's anything wrong with DIY as long as you do the job properly.

Couldn't agree more, extra 5mins makes a job neat, tidy and dare I say profesional. Makes it much easier to find faults in the future. Presume it is the same kind of person that wires in spots, relays, elec fans and so on all in one wire colour, earths aswell. grrrrrrrrrrr.

trouble is, with some well meaning amateurs, they really have no idea of how it should be done, so they just do it any old way, as long as it works.

it's not always a case of an extra 5 minutes to make the job a goodun, sometimes it's a case of no f*cking clue.
