My club, The RoverLanders of BC, completed a 2 night, 3 day, loop around Anderson and Carpenter Lakes in the area West of Pemberton BC. Easy driving on pretty well maintained gravel roads so no challenges other than the possibility of burning out your brakes coming down some sections. Just checking out the scenery. Small grizzly bear walked past our campsite Sunday afternoon. Bit of excitement there. First photo is at the top of Birkenhead Mountain, 1800 meters. Second is looking over Anderson Lake. Third is a group photo along Carpenter Lake. Hope these are of some interest.

An impressive array of LR steel there!

We usually get 10 to 15 vehicles on a trip. No Series vehicles this time but Disco 1 and 2, LR3 and 4, Defender 90, 110,130 and a unique 130 with a full box on the back. Plus one lonely P38. Couple of interesting trips coming up in September.

Here is some tracking video that our member Andrew Chang has done. He has the maroon colored Disco 2. The young fellow you see from time to time is his youngest son Danny. I am the short guy in the blue T shirt and ball cap that is in a few frames. Later wearing a gray shirt. Highlight the URL, right click and then click "open in a new tab". Enjoy.

Looks like you had great company during this trip. The view looks amazing. Which all-terrain tires are you using? I am planning to replace mine, and I am currently checking the options on 4wheelonline.

Thanks for that, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing every part of it. Did you get the ice cream in the end?
If only I was fifty years younger!!:)

I think one person got icecream but that was the last of it. I'm not exactly a youngster at 70 and our most active lady member who drives her Defender 90 is 71. Neither of us are slowing down yet

We actually don't do much offroad driving from November to April as there is too much snow in the mountains. At higher elevations you have to wait till June or July. I have driven on an ice road once for a work assignment in NE BC. Thirty-five below zero so everything was well frozen including me
