ive been trawling the web for a few weeks now trying to find some cheap software that will allow me to view live data for my FL1 TD4 on my laptop. I have previously used inap on my BMW 320D and was hoping that I’d be able to use the same software on the Freelander but the software wouldn’t talk to the ecg. I have since come across TOAF which is written for Rovers. I installed it today and used t with my BMW lead which cost less than a tenner from eBay. I’m can now view live engine data and it can also see the Jatco gearbox but none of the other modules seem to work. Hope this helps somebody else

Well done for getting access to the live data. I'm assuming the vehicle is pre 2004, as 2004 onwards vehicles are OBD2 compliant. This makes live data available to anyone with a Bluetooth ELM327 (a few £ from eBay) and a smart phone.

Actually no mine is a 2006 FL1 automatic TD4. Perhaps I could have found an easier way then haha!!!

Er yes. ELM327 dongle from EBay and an app call Torque on a smartphone. This displays and records live data as you drive, so you can view what's going on in comfort later on. ;)

Well done on the TCM data as some LR code readers don't access that for some reason.
