Hi, my old Snap-On Solus Pro has a Land Rover port (LR1) that plus in to my cars diagnostic point but, the screen says there's no power from the vehicle so it can't work. I can't find a picture of a 'live' one anywhere, I think I've managed to put pictures of mine on. Any ideas what's missing or how I get power to it to do a diagnostic check

Thanks in advance.

The Range Rover diagnostic port on the Range Rover classic is behind the passenger seat in the USA
So in the UK it must be behind the drivers seat...

Didn't see it behind the drivers seat but I will have another look. The above pictures show the lead that goes back on itself and the plug in port I found has 3 wires, not 2. The snap-on kit plugs in to the one with 3 wires when you un-plug the one with one wire, which makes a circuit for ? I've checked fuses but, it's worth doing another check, I know what I'm like LOL:rolleyes:

The green wire is a retaining wire so you don’t lose the cover / cap
I use the Hotwire diagnostic..
It has another name...but I’m haveing a brain fart...

It is on eBay and there are videos out there...I paid in the 40.00$ Range
This is the title on ebay
Range Rover Classic, TVR, Morgan, Lucas 14CUX "hotwire" diagnostic cable kit.
It comes with the software... you can also download it from internet...
Runs on a laptop

Thanks. Now, in Britlandish ...Cheers!

OK, many thanks, ordered the 'hotwire' so lets see (hopefully) what happens when i plug that in, ever the optimist. Wiring diagrams are fantastic, however, being a simpleton, I can't read them but, at least it shows where I'm looking is the right connector (its' that damned optimist again). It's on my friends farm so I won't be doing it today and, I also need to get it running again first see 'Central locking cock-up' post/thread. Cheers.
