3/8" drive 13mm double hex (12 point) socket.

caliber bolts are caliber bolts they rust in, hard to get out and using a 12 point on a hex head you have a very good chance of rounding the bolt head off.

Its a 12 point head on the bolt.

You beat me to it Redhand

In some circs I would agree with you -

but not on this occasion ...

you tap them first with a soft-faced hammer-

and when your done you torque them up -

but the 13mm double hex is the baby, you can use any spanner or socket but your fingers will suffer...

Oh, ta boys

this is what peep said what he thought he had........... in the first post of this thread, a paste and post from it........but the caliper mounting bracket bolt seems to be a hex head ? So armed with that info I will stand fast as to what I said:p

So...

lets see ...

you did some thinking ...

and you were wrong - again ...

and you've lied to cover it up -

I know - you're a Merkin ...

lying, sneaky, malicious and very, very unchivalrous ...

... the OP did say hex head.....

I have learned something new today by looking at this thread; when confronted by a double hex head, I would have immediately thought inverse torx.

Diff.

Many thanks guys maybe explained it wrong ??? but going to go for the 13mm double hex and see how we get on
Have a good weekend

Make sure you give them a good soaking in a lube spray - ('Double T' or GT85) overnight before you start ... :)
