As my partner drives the Freelander most of the time at the moment it seems every time I get in it there is an issue I didn't know about. Iv'e got in for 1/ smell of diesel. It was the HP fuel injection pump ,oooch, which lead to discovering the worn turbo pipe and the bodge on the bolts / screws holding the air intake moulding, and rear diff bushes 2/ Clunk turning right o/s ball joint still to be fixed.
Tonight we popped out to get some shopping driving down the road Carole says are the lights on? I assumed it was just the dusk and road lighting. As we pull up it's obvious the headlight bulb has gone. I've now changed both dip beam bulbs since we have had the car which was about 2 years ago. Did you notice this I asked optimistically? I thought it was a bit dull last night but I forgot to say......is the reply. My partner works Mon-Fri with Tue off and doesn't normally get back until 20:00 and reverses in so I don't see the front on our CCTV.
At least the bulbs are easy to change when I changed one on my Focus I took lots of skin off .
Maybe if I never drive it it might not go wrong.
