Hi all, picked up my '96 n reg disco v8i with tartarini tec97 lpg conversion last week, and drove it straight to the test centre for mot. As expected, it failed miserably, rear shocks, pads all round, n/s track rod end, ft body mounts need welding, as do the rear outer arches both sides, and the front pipes blowing. This is fine, but it also failed the emissions test, probably due to the exhaust blow. On further investigation I've found that the cats are missing, just pipes straight to the center box, could this be why it failed the emissions? If I replace the cats will they get f*cked up when running on lpg? And is this possibly the reason they were removed? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. BTW it was tested on petrol not lpg, don't even know if the lpg system works yet, but one of the 2 underslung tanks is really rusty so I'm a bit wary of taking it to the petrol station to fill it up!:D

try slinging some addative in there but the missing cat will deff not help the emmisions test

Test it on lpg....emmisions will be well under the limit:D
Had an Omega on lpg and my tester tried emmisions on both fuels...lpg was about 10% of pertol reading.

Thanks for the advice, and sozz for my delay in replying. The reason being i've been banned from spending any money on the disco 'till I we get back from our hols, so i've been sulking. Roll on June 20th when i'm back.
