Do you know what, it really wasn't that bad at all and everything worked out ok no seized bolts or whatever and I was able to do a bit of cable hose tidying whilst I was down there.
Didn't quite get the prop shaft off tho' as I ran out of light......
Would've preferred to do other things on Boxing day but I am trying to get it finished for a new years party down in Cornwall and I don't fancy taking the other car (C2 993 911) in case it snows
The main expenses on mine is filling it with diesel and I do 20000 miles usually in obscure parts of the world then lay it up for three months while im in Australia and planning new destinations.
+1there's a lot to be said for the p38 being the last truly land rover derived range rover.
Yes, the electronics were a probably an uncomfortable leap for lr at the time but as steve says, at least it is turning out to be the most robust of the rr family. Bmw, jag & time will tell with tata but they seem intent on over complicating.
