My family and I are currently planning another holiday to Snowdonia. We've been there plenty of times before but I've never been able to drive there myself. Now I have my disco I would like to explore the area a bit more too.
I have looked through the maps we've accumulated but wouldn't want to go up there and drive around on my own, for navigation and safety.
I was wondering if there are any clubs or groups around the area that I may be able to join in with for the day. We aren't going until April next year but I'd just like to get an idea for what to do (as much as I like castles and mines, I prefer exploring a lot more and its another excuse to get the camera out too :D)

The disco is stock at the moment but I'm planning to get in on a set of ATs soon and go shopping for extra things at Peterborough in September. From there on I will do a bit more off-roading and greenlaning locally. I would like to go with a nice amount of experience but dont want to get too stuck and broken as it is a hell of a drive back home to Essex!

Keep an eye on green laning threads nearer the time .. not many people plan that far for Wales .. though some might!

No I wouldnt expect anyone would really, but It was a case of testing the idea first I suppose. I shall have a look closer to the time. Im sure no one will mind me tagging along, I'm nice really lol!

I realised today that this could have been my first ever laning trip in a bog standard Land Rover. No mods at all.

All others have been in my modified Offroader.

Gwyn Lewis said to me that in his opinion, the best vehicle for off road driving for little money is a bog standard Defender.

Does it have a scintillation counter for ground zero
