I've yet to see one pulling vehicles out of snow or flood water. I see em driving about when there is snow or floods but summit tells me it's just to make people think that they are using em as you would expect em to be used.

Me thinks they are just a gimmick

Plenty in North Wales, several inches on the deck and a couple of feet in the drifts and it's still coming down and more forecast overnight.Will be interesting tomorrow morning - might even get stuck!

Quite weird here if Fife about 12 miles North of the Forth Bridge

Not snowing as such, but very high winds blowing snow laying on the fields into new drifts

Was out earlier picking up some sand. Driving on pretty much clear Tarmac then suddenly a 200ft length of snow about 3ft deep:eek:

Tried to snow in Harlow earlier, just a few flakes.
Now loading in Dartford and the sky is white, am wondering whether the snow may push further south than forecasted.
I likes snow I do :D

I've hung off changing the discs and pads on mine just in case the forecasters have got it wrong

I'm back in my old 4x2 Volvo tratter unit so bring on the snow, she loves it as much as me :)
Hope I get the chance to give the smug grin to the spinning/sliding lemmings in cars again........as I rumble past with diff lock engaged :D

yer such a trucker ...:rolleyes::rolleyes::p:p:p

if it aint broke...:rolleyes:

I've had the landy for coming up to 5 years and it's still running on the original pads, discs and bearings from when I got it. The dust shields have broken free and are driving me nuts with their rattling and I have had a bit of brake squeal coming on recently.

I figure that I might aswell just swap the lot out for new as I would be stripping it all back when I went to give it a clean up. The old bearings will just go in my spares box as they would still be good for getting myself of somebody else out the deep stuff if summit were to happen on a days laning or for LZIR.
