Tyres are a compromise there isn't one that'll do everything! My mud tyres have no sipes to pick up snow so rely on cutting through it. So good for some types crap on others?! I bound Bfg ats to be quite good but they aren't a full blown snow tyre! You'll kill snow tyres in the summer. So its down to what you want and how much money you have?
1 set winter tyres
1 road tyres
1for playing
Too rich for me!!!

I reckon that a decent set of AT's are the good compromise. The grabbers look like the best value to me. I'm a sucker for big white letters though :D.

What like these?

Me too:D my disco nearly killed me with its road tyres on fresh snow. Swapped em to it's original bfgs and it was unstoppable:) that's what you get for bling 20" Rangey rims!

Well those went on last week hehe. I will have those on until I sell it or write it off.

If youl sell it, buy some part worns to sell it with as unless you sell it to a Landy enthusiast you might not get any more money from it with the BFG's. Then you can sell them seperately as valuable part worns or keep them for another FL.

I'm putting some on at the beginning of next month and I'm going to ask to keep the tyres they take off for this very reason.

In summer I drive with BFG Macadam's and in winter with Nokian winter tyres. Happy with both.

last year my freelander was in mondeo mod thanks to freelander spears uk:frusty:
and it was ok in the most part but would not get up the steep hill to my house. i made it 40 yard then it just spun i got a tow up from my mate disco:crazy_driver:.
this year its all working fine so what thay like with std road tyers i run Uniroyal Rally rain sport 4x4 tyers.
will i be able to go out in the snow with confidence and play :D:D:D
my last landrover was a disco 1 300tdi with genral A/T 2s on and had lot of fun but after last year i lost alot of confidence in my freelander.
This will be my 4th winter with the freelander , in the 1st 3 weeks of ownership we got heavy snow , I was well impressed no fuss , no drama it just went where others were stuck , the freelander gives you an air of confidence you do not get with ordinary cars
