Over the roof? You should watch some you tube tutorials on wading, you can get away with a lot without a snorkel and a good technique. You can also get in trouble with a little bit of water and the wrong technique.I've got loads of Sikaflex, used a lot on the TVR.
Front door seals are not bad, but the back door seal isn't attached in some places (rusted away), so probably not water tight. I don't indent to deliberately drive into a Lake, but driving through the few minor floods I did, I couldn't help thinking how embarrassing it would be if I steamed in, sucked water into the engine and got stuck.
Looking back at the video from my dash cam, I noticed water was splashing over the roof, so I guess even with a snorkel you can't just plough straight in.

I too learn the hard way that water isn't very good at compression.agree been there done that cost me a lot of money,
its a harsh way to go about it,i found that out with my
