Hi guys and gals,

Why do some people turn the top of there snorkels backwards, does this serve a purpose or just to be different...

Cheers Steve

1 It stops twigs snagging it when your laning and pulling it off
2 In dusty conditions it stops the crap going down your snorkel
3 Some fookers turned it round for a laugh
4 Some idiots put it on backwards

Some people have it facing back wards to stop any water being splashed in when wading it is also suppose to stop the rain being sucked in. Dont know if it works though.

yeh that works cos its a well know fact that rain only falls in front of a landy so the suction force from the snorkel couldnt possibly suck rain in from behind:rolleyes:

I would say you want it facing forward so the ram air effect helps to overcome the extra effort required to drag the air through all the extra pipework.
As for rain dont worry about it.
