I know there's alot of arguments why u don't need a snorkel but does anyone know of one that will fit a Freelander 1 1999 2.0tdi? Thankyou

Had a quick look around on the Wibbly Wobbly Woo and not many LR retailer sell for Freelanders period. A offshoots do and some have adapted from other versions to fit. But you would need to ensure sealing as a priority. Best do more research to see if the results are worth the risk and you are willing accept the cost as a mod for insurance purpose.

Will a defender or discovery one fit? And I know its going to add to the insurance but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

Get a universal one, or make your own with bits from a diy store. Snorkel heads to suit various screen angles are for sale on ebay.

As above but why do you want one? The standard air pickup is well above the maximum depth the door seals allow.
