What r them things on the side for the metal things
As you know the disco has a step in the roof. Used to do a particularly rough off road place in France and there was a little section we named Dans crack :D It was a V shaped gulley with a massive overhanging tree on the left. Get it wrong, and we all did, and the "step" in the roof would end up wedged on the tree = bent roof and in one case (mine) smashed alpine light.Voila, the bars are there to help the disco slide off big trees and they do work :) They look unfinished at the back cos they are, was gonna continue em down the back to the bumper for more strength but never got round to it.

Front......back......top.......bottom.......left and right :D :D

Is that cos the lad with the MIG fooked off back to the UK, :hysterically_laughiReally miss the "fook work, lets make things " days. :D:D

Why? Apart from sand, which i understand.

Air "forced" down snorkel, rather than engine having to "suck" - less strain for engine (except when reversing)

I agree it probably makes little difference either way, i just see that being "best practise" but, i'll admit i'm only basing it on thoughts in my head :D

sideways :D stops if sucking in crap like leaves n stuff when on tight lanes

will make naff all difference, a disco or fender just isnt going to be going fast enough to ram enough air down the snork for it to make any difference, its sucking way more than that around 6000 L/m @3000rpm

Hello Batty, nice to see you aint dead buddy:D Do miss them days too. And the on the way to work "wonder where that track goes" days.

On my off-road disco with drainpipe as a snorkel it faces across the screen as the tyres chucks water down facing forward or back.
